Kawona is a Christian, wife to Heath and mother to a free-thinker, Miss Hailey Beatris.  In 2011, she received a Specialist Degree in Teacher Leadership from Walden University. Since the age of 3, she has been passionate about teaching and leading. This passion has turned into a career of teaching children and coaching educators. Currently, she is the MSAP Lead Teacher/Magnet Coordinator at her school. She joined this wonderful organization because of the late and great Bertha G. Brown. She was a class act! It has been hard to fill her red bottoms!
